Many, if not most adults today are overweight or clinically obese. Of course, everybody has a different idea of what it means to be overweight. But if you would like to lose just a couple of pounds, or even a hundred pounds or more, this article is for you.
Most nutritionists agree the best way to lose weight, and keep it off, is to simply eat less, and exercise more. If that seems so blatantly obvious, why are so many people overweight?
One possible explanation may be that people see losing weight as a one-time task, rather than a lifestyle change. If you don’t change your lifestyle, you aren’t likely to keep off any weight that you might lose.
The secret then is to incorporate proper diet and exercise into your daily life. And not only to incorporate them into your daily life, but to do so in a way that makes them easy and automatic.
Sure, it would be great to lose fifty pounds in two days, but is that possible, or even healthy? Probably not. The secret is to go slowly. Instead of shooting for fifty pounds in one week, try for ten pounds in a few months.
It’s better to slowly add changes to your lifestyle and diet, so that you not only slowly lose weight, but change your lifestyle so that you can easily keep it off.
What would you be like in a year if you simply made a few small changes a week? How much thinner and healthier would you look and feel? How much more energy would you have every day?
What kinds of small changes? Take the stairs instead of the elevator, eat fast food one time fewer per week, do five sit-ups every morning.
These may seem small and insignificant in the short term, but they can easily add up to a slimmer, healthier, and sexier body before you know it.
